we’re here

Day 1 in Bangkok ; Finally arrived after a long journey, we couldn’t sleep on the plane so we were alittle worn out by the time we arrived to our guest house, which i might add is nice(hot shower toilet and air con) i don’t think we will get that all the time!!!!
we met up with James and Natasha pretty much straight away which was good as i don’t think we had the energy to explore, they gave us a quick tour around the area we are staying in and a good few tips about locals etc.
Needless to say life is very different it seems to be a competition for everything from food, clothing and getting about. The heat well some would say unbearable but i think once we get used to it we should be ok. oh and the roads here are a bit of a joke, main roads have 6 lanes across and nothing stops for people to cross their doesn’t appear to be any road rules so its really one man for himself and yes i’ve nearly been run over twice now so Matts keeping a really close eye on me now.
And of course we have checked out some of the local shops and markets and well one shopping centre had 9 floors and selling everything possible and the markets are really quiet impressive, one of them really does sell everything(Matt was offered to go and see a ping pong show many times!!! certainly not a place for the shy or prud)
Thankfully he did decline the offer.
By the time we got to our bed we could hardly talk and we certainly slept well.
