31st, 1st, 2nd Nov – Koh Ngai

So we arrived by longtail boat which just dropped us off on the beach and we assumed that all the resorts would be open including the cheap tentalows (just tents) its turns out they were not open until the following day. Un-phased we went in search of open places after asking a few I started to feel a little panicked as there is only around 10 places on this island and the first few places we had ask were very expensive! Thankfully we found a lovely little hut on the beach for a reasonable price and that was only because it was still low season price and we managed to get it half price (phew).

We quickly settled in and went straight in the sea for a for a swim. This island is gorgeous, not many people on it, nice sandy beach, some lovely coral to snorkel around and a few lovely places to eat. That afternoon we went in search of diving schools and there was only one on this island which was reasonably priced so Matt booked a dive, I didn’t just to try and save a little bit money, so I just went a long the following day for the boat ride and to snorkel. Matt really enjoyed his dive and the people were really friendly there were only 7 people on the boat so that made it even better, that included 3 instructors! That afternoon we relaxed on the beach and enjoyed dinner at our resort. That night we fell asleep listening to the waves, amazing!
The next day we hired a kayak and went round the small island to a beach with nothing on it and snorkelled a lot, kayaked some more, Matt even tipped us off at one stage, was funny after we managed to find all of our stuff and get back on the kayak! That evening we had a few cocktails and another lovely dinner, the next day we had to move on as the speed boat only comes every other day and the days left on our visa were getting low so onto Koh Lipe we went, it was a little sad to leave this place as it was so relaxing and beautiful.
